Q Can the students partly complete their ethical assessment questionnaire and return to it at a later date?

A The ethical assessment questionnaire needs to be completed in full in one sitting as it cannot be saved and returned to later.

 

Q Why does the game keep freezing resulting in us having to log off and start all over again?

A To stop the game freezing teams need to follow the instructions as detailed by the virtual mentor.  The virtual mentor explains that the team needs to make sure they have accessed each stage of the game, ticked each stage and then clicked on “stage 2” before the next stage is unlocked and game playing can resume.  The same applies for all stages. Q Can teams save a game and return to it at a later stage?

A No, teams need to play the game in one session, and SAVE and EXIT at the end of play every time.  Teams can always speed up the game time by increasing the game speed ensuring that a whole cycle of the game is played in one sitting. 

 

Q Can teams change their team name and/or password?

A No, Mosaic supplies all participating teams and schools with team names and passwords and these are in turn assigned by the class teacher or mentor to the teams.  If teams attempt to change their team name/password we cannot guarantee that we will be able to reconcile their game and ethical assessment scores with our system.

 

Q My teams have played the game a number of times but the system only shows one game as having been played – have previous game scores been lost?

A The system only records the highest net profit and does not record all game scores.  The highest net profit may have been generated during the first time the students played the game or later on. 

 

Q What do I do if I get an error message of “totemlearning.net not available”?

A In case you get the above message please complete the Bug Reporting form,, providing as much information as possible and email it to mosaicenterprisechallenge@princes-trust.org.uk.

 

Q What do I do if I get an error message of “couldn’t load plug in”?

A Please refer to pages 30- 31 of the Mosaic Enterprise Challenge Teacher and Mentor Resource Pack. Each school needs to undertake an IT compatibility test by clicking here.
